Chalkboard Christmas Tree Bottle

Create unique, custom bottles for your homemade egg nog this season!

  • Clean wine bottle
  • Con-Tact Paper


tools

  • DecoArt Glass Chalkboard Paint
  • Americana Multi-Surface Acrylics: Leprechaun, Lipstick, Melonball
  • Chalk
  • Paintbrush #8 round

basic supplies

  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Cosmetic sponge
  • Container for water
  • Palette or plastic plate
  • Paper towels

*tip: Fill bottle with egg nog or a light colored drink to make tree pop. Use chalk to write your message on the bottle. Make it extra fancy with a holiday-themed bottle stopper. This makes a great hostess gift or gift for your coworkers, teachers or neighbors. 

1. Cut five triangles in graduated sizes and small rectangle from Con-Tact paper to fit bottle as desired.

2. Apply Con-Tact paper rectangle to bottom of bottle and stack largest to smallest triangle as shown. Overlap pieces to create tree.

3. Dab on two coats of Glass Chalkboard Paint using a cosmetic sponge and let dry. Carefully remove Con-Tact paper to reveal tree design.

4. Paint white dotted line around perimeter of tree using #8 round. Dot ornaments Lipstick, Melonball and Leprechaun using #8 round. Paint star at top point of tree Lipstick using #8 round. Let dry.
