CD Flower Heart

  • Recycled CD
  • Recycled plastic M&M Mini’s container
  • Forster dowel
  • Forster Woodsies circles: one XL, one XXL
  • Dow STYROFOAM: two 1” balls
  • Fibre-Craft craft foam: 10 pink hearts, green scraps
  • DecoArt Americana Acrylic Paints: Bright Green, Bubblegum Pink, Peony Pink
  • Pink metallic pom-poms: four medium, one large
  • Heart-print ribbon, 4-1/2” length
  • Sand, small amount
  • Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue


  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Paintbrush
  • Newspaper (to cover work surface)
  • 1. On covered work surface, paint dowel (stem) Bright Green, XL circle Peony Pink, and XXL circle Bubblegum Pink. Let dry.
  • 2. For petals, glue 10 pink hearts, overlapping edges, on back of CD. Glue top of stem between two hearts. For leaves, cut two green hearts from craft foam scrap. Glue leaves on stem. Let dry.
  • 3. On plastic container, cut off hinged top. Glue ribbon around container. Glue foamball in bottom of container. Fill container with small amount sand. Glue other foam-ball on top of container. Push stem through balls and into sand. Let dry.
  • 4. Glue small pom-poms around stem. Let dry.
  • 5. For stand, glue small pink wooden circle on larger pink wooden circle. Glue container on center of circles. Glue large pom-pom in center of CD. Let dry.
