Love Button Mosaic

Create a pretty-in-pink décor mosaic using buttons and a wooden board, perfect for showing off your love to someone special.

  • Wooden board, 13”x9”
  • White paper
  • Buttons Galore & More Bonanza Buttons: Bubblegum, Pink, Vintage Rose
  • Pink ribbon, 6” length
  • Hanger of choice


  • Pink acrylic paint
  • Computer and printer
  • Silver spray paint
  • Adhesives: Plaid Mod Podge; Aleene's Original Tacky Glue

Basic Supplies

  • scissors, foam brush or paintbrush, pencil, marker
  • Size
  • 1. Size is 13"x9".
  • Love Button Mosaic
  • 1. Use computer and printer to print out or pencil to draw letters measuring 5" tall to spell "LOVE" on scrap paper. Outline each letter using marker; cut out on outline.
  • 2. Découpage "LOVE" design onto center of board, spacing letters evenly across board, using foam brush and Mod Podge. Let dry thoroughly.
  • 3. Use paintbrush to paint board pink, leaving "LOVE" design unpainted. Let dry.
  • 4. Adhere buttons onto board around "LOVE" design using tacky glue, beginning with larger buttons and using smaller buttons to fill in open areas. Let dry.
  • 5. Cut 6" ribbon length. Loop ribbon and adhere button on center. Adhere ribbon onto center of "O" in "LOVE" design. Let dry.
  • 6. Attach hanger of choice on back of wooden board.
  • Tip
  • 1. Allow for tiny gaps between buttons as not all buttons will fit perfectly in all spaces.
