  • Fairfield Crafter's Choice Fiberfill
  • Black embroidery floss

  • Sewing machine and matching thread
  • Embroidery needle

Basic Supplies

Pattern - Monkey Plush Toy

  • 1. Print out full-size patterns. Cut patterns from fabric.
  • 2. Pin ear lining to center of two ear pieces. Machine-sew using zigzag stitch around edge of ear lining. Place remaining two ear pieces to back of sewn piece with right sides together. Machine-sew outside ear curve and turn right side out. Stuff with fiberfill and set aside.
  • 3. Pin face onto right side of head. Machine-sew using zigzag stitch around edge. Position ears on sides of face following pattern. Machine-sew raw edges. Pin head pieces together with right sides together. Machine-sew around head using 1/4" seam allowance; leave 2" opening at neck. Turn right side out and stuff with fiberfill. Set aside.
  • 4. Position two leg pieces with right sides together. Machine-sew around legs using 1/8" seam allowance, leaving top edge open. Turn right side out and stuff with fiberfill. Repeat with other leg, both arms, and tail.
  • 5. Pin belly piece onto one body piece following pattern. Machine-sew using zigzag stitch around edges. Pin raw edges of each arm to raw edge of front body piece following pattern. Machine-sew in place. Pin raw edges of each leg to raw edge of front body piece following pattern. Machine-sew in place. Position back body piece on top of body with raw edges matching and pin in place. Fold legs to tuck them inside. Machine-sew around edges using 1/4" seam allowance, leaving 2" opening at neck. Turn right side out and stuff with fiberfill.
  • 6. Fold raw edges of neck under, pushing raw edges of body into neck of head. Pin in place and hand-sew using whipstitch to secure.
  • 7. Fold raw edge of tail under 1/4" and pin on back center at bottom of body. Hand-sew tail to body using whipstitch. Hand-sew eyes and nostrils using black embroidery floss.
