Garden Floral Necklace & Earrings

Materials

  • Antique brass chain, 22” length
  • Antique brass findings: two earring chandelier daisies, three connector links, two small pumpkin beads, three 7mm jump rings, one lobster clasp, one end piece drop, two antique-style leaver back ear hooks, seven 2” headpins, four 2” eye pins, two bead caps
  • Lucite flower beads, one 17mm, two 13mm, two 10mm bell flowers
  • Vintage raw brass chain with pink glass beads
  • Specialty Beads Italian Mesh Ribbon: 4” length 6mm light pink
  • Swarovski Crystalized Elements: 11 4mm light green bicones, four 6mm light pink bicones, four 6mm dark pink bicones, four 6mm light green bicones, two 6mm white pearls
  • Plastic earring clutches (cut in half), two

Directions

  • Necklace
  • 1. Cut two 4” chain lengths of chain. Open end of chain and attach onto top of chandelier. Cut 11” chain length. Open link on either end and attach to outside bottom loops of chandeliers. Cut remaining length of chain into two 2” lengths; attach onto inside bottom loops of chandeliers.
  • 2. Cut 10” vintage raw brass chain length; attach onto center bottom loops of chandeliers using two 7mm jump rings.
  • 3. Thread one 4mm light green bicone onto eye pin followed by one 6mm light pink, one 6mm dark pink, one 6mm light pink and one 4mm light green bicone. Use chain-nose pliers to bend headpin at 90 degree angle; trim to just less than 1/2”. Use round-nose pliers to bend into loop at end. Repeat.
  • 4. Cut Italian Mesh Ribbon in half. Thread ribbon onto eye pin with two 6mm light green bicones and one 6mm white pearl. Use chain-nose pliers to bend headpin at 90 degree angle; trim to just less than 1/2”. Use round-nose pliers to bend into loop at end. Repeat.
  • 5. Connect eye pins onto short length of chain off center of chandelier and other connector links to finish chain across top of necklace.
  • 6. Thread bicones onto headpin to create necklace baubles. Use chain-nose pliers to bend headpin at 90 degree angle about 1/4” from top bead. Wrap headpin around round-nose pliers to create loop; wrap excess four times around headpin and trim. Repeat.
  • 7. Thread bicones and flower beads onto headpin to create additional necklace baubles. Thread half of earring clutch onto back of flower to hold in place. Bend headpin at 90 degree angle. Use chain-nose pliers to bend headpin at 90 degree angle about 1/4” from top of flower bead. Wrap headpin around round-nose pliers to create loop; wrap excess three times around headpin and trim. Repeat twice.
  • 8. To finish, open links on bottom chain and attach baubles on bottom chain.
  • Earrings
  • 1. Thread one 4mm light green bicone onto eye pin followed by one light pink vintage glass bead, one Lucite bell flower, bead cap, pumpkin bead, and raw brass spacer bead. Use chain-nose pliers to bend headpin at 90 degree angle about 1/4” from top bead. Wrap headpin around round-nose pliers to create loop; wrap excess four times around headpin and trim. Repeat.
  • 2. To finish, attach onto leaver back ear wires.
