Vintage Heirloom Frame
- 1. Weathered and adorned with vintage accents, this enchanting frame lends great presence to photos or mementos. Get this upscale, trendsetting look affordably by applying a distressed finish and jewelry findings.
- 2. To get this look, paint an unfinished wooden frame with one coat of FolkArt Country Twill acrylic paint (Plaid). Let dry completely. Following manufacturer’s instructions, apply one coat of Tim Holtz Picket Fence Distress Crackle (Ranger). Let dry completely. Cracks will appear as the paint dries. Apply FolkArt Wicker White acrylic paint (Plaid) to four Floral Corners, four Corner Décor, Butterfly Grandeur and Butterfly jewelry findings (Vintaj Natural Brass Co.) and immediately wipe off excess paint with paper towel. Let dry. Use Quick Grip (Beacon Adhesives) to adhere metal findings and two velvet leaves to frame. Place photo inside frame.
- 3. Try this same technique on other wooden surfaces, such as boxes, clocks, organizers, trays and more.
