Directions

  • Note - Angels on the Wings
  • 1. Instructions are specific to The Wizard die-cutting system; adjust as needed to fit your die-cutting system.
  • Angels on the Wings
  • 1. Place texture plate on top of white emboss mat. Place brass stencil on top of texture plate; be sure imprinted logo is on bottom. Place piece of metal on top of stencil. Place tan polymer pad on top of metal. Place blue emboss mat on top of polymer pad. Run “sandwich” through die-cutting machine.
  • 2. Trim metal edges to edge of die; die will clearly emboss in metal to give a perfect cutting line.
  • 3. Apply Alcohol Inks to metal with “polished stones” technique; squeeze a small amount of each ink color onto applicator, then pounce back and forth across metal, twisting and turning applicator to create random look. If desired, lightly sand tops of embossed edges.
  • 4. Mat metal on light blue cardstock using E6000. Mat layered panel on pastel print paper. Stamp sentiment to right of metal angel. Ink edges Black Soot. Adhere to 5-1/2”x6” black card.
  • Note - Hug The Child

  • 1. Cut 6”x12” piece from Cherub paper, noting design placement in photo. Score and fold card; unfold.
  • 2. Place square die, cut side down, on front of card where window will be. Cut 1-1/2” square from extra tan polymer pad and place between die and paper, over cherub, to prevent the area from being cut.
  • 3. Place thin white spacer plate on top of die. Fold back of card on top of spacer plate. Place white emboss mat on top of card back. Place white cut mat beneath card being cut (on bottom). Run “sandwich” through die-cutting machine; note very tight fit with added polymer pad piece.
  • 4. Hand cut area around cherub. Cut small pieces of foam; dab foam onto various Distress Inks and blend across card front.
  • 5. See Angel on the Wings Step 3 to ink transparency with “polished stones” technique. Trim transparency to fit behind window opening; adhere inside card. Stamp Jet Black sentiment on window.
  • 6. Cut a piece of metal same size as Flower & Vines die. Apply Alcohol Inks to metal with “polished stones” technique. Add a drop of Blending Solution to cause colors to “bleed out.”
  • 7. Place metal between die and universal adapter plate; run through machine. Adhere to sides of card using E6000.
