Directions

  • General (for each tin)
  • 1. Carefully open tin hinges to detach lid; lightly sand both parts. Use Paint Dabber to paint tin; let dry.
  • 2. Trace tin bottom three times on patterned paper. Cut out papers for tin backgrounds, cutting just inside traced lines for best fit. Use Cut N Dry foam in a circular motion to ink paper edges.
  • 3. Stamp images on patterned paper with Jet Black Archival ink. Adhere embellishments with Matte Accents. Attach embellished papers to inside and front of tin.
  • Coffee & Friends
  • 1. Paint tin Terra Cotta; let dry. Trace and cut out Romeo & Juliet paper pieces. Edge paper pieces with Watermelon, Spiced Marmalade and Vintage Photo inks. (see photos)
  • 2. Stamp left side of cup and Coffee Defined on cover piece. Use water brush to ink flowers Watermelon and Spiced Marmalade. Highlight flower centers with Beadazzles and glitter glue.
  • 3. Stamp right side of cup and Java on inner lid piece; water brush flowers in same way as cover piece
  • 4. Stamp Tea & Coffees label on third paper piece. Stamp COFFEE and Coffee & Friends on scrap of Shakespeare paper; trim words and ink edges Watermelon and Spiced Marmalade. Edge word strips with Vintage Photo ink and adhere to background, overlapping slightly.
  • 5. Use hammer to break jeweled filigree spacer and orange shell button into pieces. Use wire cutter to cut seed bead wire into three pieces; separate several individual beads from wires and twist wire ends to secure remaining beads. Bend wires into curlicues.
  • 6. Using photos as a guide, adhere bead wire, beads, jewels, shell pieces and coffee beans to paper pieces with Matte Accents. Adhere paper pieces to tin.
  • Love & Scandal
  • 1. Paint tin Red Pepper; let dry. Trace and cut out Rudyard Kipling paper pieces. Edge paper pieces with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain inks. (see photos)
  • 2. Stamp cover piece with Love and Scandal, Shillings label and Correo label as shown. Adhere mica over Shillings label using Matte Accents.
  • 3. For inner lid piece, stamp Afternoon Tea on scrap piece of Kipling paper. Trim word strip and edge with Walnut Stain. Hammer earring to remove back and pull pearls apart; set aside. See Step 3 to distress two pieces of lace, one with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress Inks and one with Butterscotch ColorWash. Adhere lace, broken earring and word strips to paper. Cut and adhere small ribbon loop to left back edge.
  • 4. Stamp tea definition on third paper piece at top and bottom. Stamp couple on gloss paper using Jet Black Archival ink. Use blending nib to apply Worn Lipstick ink to woman’s blouse and lips. Age photo with Antique Linen applied over surface. Edge photo with Vintage Photo ink.
  • 5. Using photos as a guide, adhere paper pieces to tin with Matte Accents.
  • love & scandal
  • 1. Ink piece of lace Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. In well-ventilated area, heat lace with heat tool to shrink lace and create holes for vintage look. Use tweezers to shape lace as it shrinks. Attach Bitty Blossoms to lace with brads; attach paper flowers with Matte Accents. Adhere lace to paper with Matte Accents.
  • Paris Cafe
  • 1. Paint tin Wild Plum; let dry. Trace and cut out Robert Burns paper pieces. Edge paper pieces with Wild Plum and Black Soot inks. (see photos)
  • 2. Stamp left side of cup and Coffee Defined on cover piece. Use water brush to ink flowers Watermelon and Spiced Marmalade. Highlight flower centers with Beadazzles and glitter glue.
  • 3. Stamp Café on right side of cover piece. Use water brush to ink letters Wild Plum. Mask Café and stamp Lace Corner on left side; use blending foam to ink coffee pot and lace corner Wild Plum. Stamp Jet Black gloved hand on scrap paper and cut out; adhere to background. Use Matte Accents to adhere piece of black mesh wrap, bows and black ball chain “cord” to paper, tucking mesh and fabric ends under edges. Adhere paper to tin lid.
  • 4. Stamp Post Card, Manuscript Background and Smoochie Poochie on inner lid piece as shown. Adhere navy bow/fabric to skirt and Page Pebble over postmark. Adhere paper inside tin lid.
  • 5. Stamp Romantic Swirl, Street Café and Old Script on third paper piece. Attach black mesh wrap to background with Matte Accents, tucking ends of mesh under paper. Adhere paper inside tin.
