Animal Pals Tablet Sleeves


These adorable barnyard animals are the perfect protectors for your tablet or thin laptop! Create your own favorite character by altering the yarn colors or placement of facial features.

Materials

  • Medium Weight Yarn, 1 skein each: Café, White, Black, Petal Pink, Grey Heather
  • Zipper, 16” length: black, pink, brown
  • Fiberfill stuffing, small amount

  • 1. Row 1: Ch 25, sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across, turn.
  • 2. Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in 1st and 2 sc in 2nd sc, 1 sc in each sc until last 2 sc, 2 sc in each of last 2 sc, turn.
  • 3. Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc of the previous row, turn.
  • 4. Rows 4-7: Repeat rows 2-3 two more times, turn.

  • Finishing
  • 1. Sew two main body pieces of each animal together along edges, leaving 15” unfinished along one vertical side for zipper.
  • 2. Sew ears of each animal on body. Sew eyes of each animal on body (approximately 15 rows from top and 5-6 stitches from edges). Sew noses on dog’s and bear’s muzzles and nostrils on pig’s snout. Make mouths for bear and dog using black yarn.
  • 3. Stuff muzzles and snout lightly and sew edges together; attach to faces.
  • 4. Using two strands of coordinating-color yarn, sew zipper along right edges.
