Materials

  • Red faceted square glass tubes, 8x4mm, 24
  • Gold-plated hematite tubes, 2x3mm, 278
  • Gold-plated metal rounds, 4mm, 48
  • Gold-plated findings: headpins, 2”, five; crimp tubes, four; crimp covers, four
  • 7-strand .015 gold flexible beading wire, 54”
  • Gold-plated 2-strand filigree box clasp

Tools

  • Jewelry pliers: chain-nose, round-nose, wire cutters, crimping pliers

Basic Supplies

  • ruler
  • 1. Slide gold round, red bead, and gold round on headpin and make wrapped loop. Repeat for total of five dangles.
  • 2. For inner strand, attach 24" beading wire to inner loop of box clasp with crimp tube. String 55 gold tubes. String gold round, red bead, and gold round. Repeat two more times. String dangle, gold round, red bead, and gold round. Repeat four more times to create five dangles. String gold round, red bead, and gold round twice. String 55 gold tubes and attach to inner loop of other side of clasp with crimp tube.
  • 3. For outer strand, attach 30" of beading wire to outer loop of beading clasp with crimp tube. String gold round, red bead, and gold round. String 21 gold tubes, gold round, red bead, and gold round. Repeat seven more times. Attach wire to outer loop of clasp with crimp tube.
  • 4. Cover crimp tubes with crimp covers.

  • 1. Make two more dangles and attach them to ear wires for a quick and easy pair of matching earrings.
