It is with mixed emotions that I write this note, but unfortunately I need to inform you that the Summer 2017 issue will be our final one. Amos Media is exploring new goals and the difficult decision was made to cease printing Craft Ideas magazine. The company is looking to find the right strategic partner to continue Craft Ideas, but at this time, this relationship is uncertain.
This was a tough conclusion to come to since the brand has served crafters for more than four decades. The first issue (pictured here) under our previous name, Crafts ’n Things, was published in April 1975. The look and feel has changed throughout the years, but our mission to inspire makers with beautiful designs covering a variety of craft types and techniques has always remained the same.
During my time here, I have worked with the most wonderful, kind and inspiring people; I’m going to miss you all dearly. To the talented designers who have submitted projects to our magazine: It’s been a privilege collaborating with you issue after issue. Your extraordinary crafts and ideas made my job simple.
And to our loyal readers: Thank you for choosing Craft Ideas as your source for inspiration and for sharing your suggestions, ideas and photos with me. I know you inspired me; I hope we succeeded in our mission to do the same for you.
And as always, happy crafting!
